What the bursary offers
- Available to students residing in Johannesburg, for undergraduate full-time studies at accredited South African institutions.
- Supports qualifications of at least one year in duration (not for short courses).
- Not available for postgraduate studies.
- Covers tuition, registration fees, prescribed books and study materials.
- Maximum funding amount is about R40,000 per academic year.
- Accommodation costs are generally not covered.
Eligibility criteria
- Must be a South African citizen and a resident in Johannesburg.
- Must have a strong academic record.
- Applicants should not already be receiving another bursary or grant.
- Study programme must be full-time and at least one year long.
- Renewable annually based on satisfactory academic performance.

How to Apply

- Navigate to the “Vacancies / Bursaries” section and select the relevant bursary advert.
- Complete the online application form in full.
- Upload all required supporting documents (certified copies), including:
- South African ID
- Latest academic record or matric results / current university transcript
- Proof of residence in Johannesburg (municipal account or affidavit)
- Proof of household income (payslips, affidavit if unemployed, or death certificate if applicable)
- Review your application to ensure accuracy before submission.
- Submit the application online before the deadline (late or incomplete applications are not considered).
